Dan Keller - aka "Sultan Of String"

Dan Keller - aka "Sultan Of String" - is a unique guitar player from Switzerland. He plays an Exotic influenced Metal Guitar style, often using melodic elements from Asian and Oriental music.

Dan released his Exotic Metal Guitar CD "Electric Storm" in March 2004. The album contains 10 songs (instrumental) plus one bonus track (with vocals) - from fast Oriental Metal to ballads with haunting melodies.

Dan is influenced by the playing styles of Marty Friedman, Jason Becker and Steve Vai. Yet in spite of this, Dan remains unique, applying different musical elements from various musicians and sources, all of which enrich his music.

Supporting the Jason Becker Tribute Album, released by Lion Music in 2002, Dan performed Jason Becker's song "Dweller in the Cellar" in his own unique style.

Guitar9.com elected Dan as "Artist of the Month" in 2001.
